IPMS Hellas Annual Competition Categories – Classes

 

Categories – Classes

B1. Participants bear the sole responsibility for the correct placing of an entry in a category and class. Therefore special attention should be paid, because in the event of incorrect registration Judges' Committee shall place these models out of competition.

B2. The competition categories are the following:

1st Group (Aircraft)

  • 101 :       Civil aircraft any scale.
  • 102 :       Military aircraft 1:75 scale and smaller.
  • 103 :       Biplanes 1:72 scale
  • 104 :       Propeller driven aircraft 1:72 scale
  • 105 :       Jet aircraft 1:72 scale
  • 106 :       Biplanes 1:48 scale
  • 107 :       Propeller driven aircraft 1:48 scale
  • 108 :       Jet aircraft 1:48 scale
  • 109 :       Biplanes 1:32 scale & larger
  • 110 :       Propeller driven aircraft 1:32 scale & larger
  • 111 :       Jet aircraft1:32 scale & larger
  • 112 :       Rotary wing craft of any scale.
  • 113 :       Extensive conversions & scratch-built aircraft.
  • 114 :       Aircraft theme collections.
  • 115 :       Fictional aircraft (“What If”).

2nd Group (Military vehicles)

  • 201 :       Armoured vehicles 1:72 scale and smaller.
  • 202 :       Armoured vehicles 1:48 up to and including 1:32 scale.
  • 203 :       Soft-skins 1:72 scale and smaller.
  • 204 :       Soft-skins 1:48 up to and including 1:32 scale.
  • 205 :       Military vehicles (armoured & soft-skin) 1:31 scale and larger.
  • 206 :       Towed artillery, rocket launchers, guns any scale.
  • 207 :       Extensive conversions & scratch-built military vehicles.
  • 208 :       Military vehicle theme collections.
  • 209 :       Fictional military vehicles (“What If”).

3rd Group (Civilian vehicles)

  • 301 :       Civilian cars any scale.
  • 302 :       Racing cars any scale.
  • 303 :       Trucks & Tractor-trailer combinations any scale.
  • 304 :       Civilian motorbikes any scale.
  • 305 :       Racing motorbikes any scale.
  • 306 :       Civilian vehicle theme collections.
  • 307 :       Extensive conversions & scratch-built civilian vehicles & motorbikes (except fantasy/post-apocalyptic).
  • 308 :       Fictional civilian vehicles (“What If”).Includes fantasy/post-apocalyptic subjects.

4th Group  (Figures)

  • 401 :       Historical figures any scale - Painting
  • 402 :       Historical figures any scale - Open (Extensive conversions, scratch-built, sculpted)
  • 403 :       Fantasy figures any scale - Painting.
  • 404 :       Fantasy figures any scale - Open (Extensive conversions, scratch-built, sculpted)
  • 405 :       Small Scale Figures – Painting (Historical & Fantasy).
  • 406 :       Figure theme collections (Displays).
  • 407 :       Wargame armies.
  • 409 :       Fantasy Wargame Figures – Paintathlon (Includes: Single Figures & Figure Packs, Armies, Vignettes,Dioramas, Monsters, Vehicles, Fantasy subjects)

5th Group  (Ships)

  • 501 :       Sailing ships of any scale.
  • 502 :       Motor powered vessels
  • 503 :       Motor powered military vessels of any scale.
  • 504 :       Submarines of any scale.
  • 505 :       Wooden ships any scale.
  • 506 :       Extensive conversions & scratch-built ships (wooden models are excluded).
  • 507 :       Fictional ships (“What If”)

6th Group  (Fantasy and Miscellaneous)

  • 601 :       Fantasy (“What If”, Fantasy, Prehistoric etc), excluding figures.
  • 602 :       Sci Fi, Movies/TV Series, Steam/Diesel Punk, Post Apocalyptic etc.
  • 603 :       Real Space.
  • 604 :       Trains any scale (running models)
  • 605 :       Trains any scale (non-running models).
  • 606 :       Theme collections not included in above categories
  • 607 :       Miscellaneous models and scratch-builds (not belonging to the above categories) and scratch-builds.

 7th Group  (Dioramas)

  • 701 :       Aircraft dioramas.
  • 702 :       Military dioramas 1:72 scale and smaller.
  • 703 :       Military dioramas 1:48 scale and larger.
  • 704 :       Civilian vehicle dioramas.
  • 705 :       Figure dioramas & vignettes.
  • 706 :       Ship dioramas.
  • 707 :       Boxed Dioramas any scale.
  • 708 :       Civilian Dioramas (a non-military themed diorama, inspired by civilian life)
  • 709 :       Fantasy/Science fiction/Post apocalyptic   Dioramas

 

B3.  Competition Classes

There are four (4) classes in all above categories:

  • "N1" (Junior 1) for young modellers up to 12 years of age,
  • "N2" (Junior 2)for young modellers aged 12 to 16,
  • "E" (Standard)for adults, and
  • "Π" (Master)for experienced modellers.
